Understanding Dementia MOOC starting 19th Feb

Course closes: 3rd May, 2019 (content is accessible across 10 weeks)

Understanding Dementia is a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), offering free university-quality education about the latest in dementia research and care aimed at:

  • Health professionals
  • Community and residential facility support staff
  • People in the early stages of the disease, their families and carers
  • Social scientists
  • Health policymakers
  • Individuals with a general interest in dementia

According to Dementia Australia, in 2016 dementia became the leading cause of death among Australian females, surpassing heart disease which has been the leading cause of death for both males and females since the early 20th century.
