Sydney LHD Palliative Care Service has a vacancy (temporary full time until August 2019 with the possibility of extension) for a Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 based at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Camperdown.

The primary purpose of the position is to provide palliative care support and education to health care professionals across the facility campus and facilitate best practice clinical care to individual patient palliation and family/carer support.

Selection criteria include:

  • Current Nursing registration with AHPRA and 3 years full time equivalent post registration experience in Palliative Care nursing and relevant post registration qualifications.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in specialist Palliative Care clinical practices including assessment, planning, treatment management, and clinical leadership underpinned by evidenced based practice.
  • Demonstrated professional knowledge, judgement and skill in providing professional education and support in Palliative Care nursing.
