Indigenous art competition

caring@home invites Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders to take part in a one-off, unique art competition, the caring@home Indigenous Art Competition, which is now open, with submissions closing on Wednesday, 9 February 2022. The theme of the competition is “Journey to Dreaming at Home,” which highlights an important aspect of palliative care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people – a preference for care during the end-of-life journey to be provided at home.

Your entry can be drawn, painted or printed on paper, canvas, or other similar medium or created in digital form.

There are a number of prizes on offer, including:

· Overall winner: $3,000 / Second prize: $1,500 / Third prize: $1,000

· Young artist winner: $1,500 / Highly commended young artist: $500

· People’s Choice prize: $1,500

All submitted artworks will be displayed on the caring@home website, with winning artworks used to illustrate resources under development by caring@home for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Families, a national palliative care project funded by the Australian Government Department of Health.

The online entry form, terms and conditions and more information is available on the caring@home website – www.caringathomeproject.com.au
