The European Association for Palliative Care is holding their 17th World Congress online this year with sessions presented on October 6 – 8. The theme for this conference is “Exploring New Dimensions”
Chair of the Scientific Committee, Fliss Murtagh, invites participation,
“All of us are experiencing growing demand, changing practice, and increasing challenges to the delivery of palliative care. The 17th World Congress “Exploring New Dimensions” will give you the opportunity to be re-energised; to hear about exciting innovations and progress from within our palliative care community, as well as valuable contributions from the wider services and communities with whom we work.”
Professor Deborah Parker, Immediate Past President and current member of the Palliative Care NSW Management Committee, will be one of the plenary speakers at the event. She will be speaking on “Meeting the challenge of dementia care in the future.”
The EAPC Scientific Committee is also welcoming the submission of abstracts and have prepared a list of thematic tracks in order to group the abstracts into various themes.
Authors must choose one thematic track from the following lists that most closely describes the content of their submission:

There will be three types of presentations:
- Oral presentation
- Poster presentation with accompanying 2 minute video
- Poster presentation
