CWA Palliative Care Nurse Education Grant

The Country Women’s Association (CWA) of NSW is offering a Palliative Care Nurse Education Grant for Registered Nurses seeking to upskill in palliative care.

Applications will be considered at the November Executive Meeting and must be received at State Office no later than 30th SeptemberNo applications will be accepted after this date.

Please note: An applicant can only apply for one grant. If you have been a successful applicant in the past, you may only apply every third year (eg If successful in 2024 you cannot apply again until 2027).

All applications must be sent directly to State Office, by email or mail, including a brief outline of the applicant’s goals and aims and two letters of recommendation – one educational and one other (eg CWA of NSW member, sports coach, Minister of Religion, employer etc but not a family member).

Applicants must be:
• a NSW or ACT Registered nurse
• a resident of NSW or the ACT
• working in or intention to work in rural/regional/remote NSW or the ACT
• working in a public health setting
• able to provide their current AHPRA number.

The applicant does not need to have a CWA of NSW connection.

Applicants are required to include in their application which course (Australian course provider) they wish to undertake and the course fee. Only the course fee is covered by the grant – up to a maximum of $3,000. For example, a “Professional Certificate in Palliative Care Nursing” on-line course is conducted through the University of South Australia.
