Your Opportunity
We are recruiting a Senior Clinical Lead – Palliative Care, a specialist clinical leadership role focused on strengthening the delivery of high‑quality palliative and end‑of‑life care across our retirement villages and home care services. This is a permanent, full‑time, multi‑site role supporting services across the Sydney region, with head office based at Macquarie Park.
As the Senior Clinical Lead – Palliative Care (Seniors Communities), you will provide specialist clinical leadership to support comfort, dignity and choice at the end of life. You will lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of palliative care models, ensuring care aligns with best‑practice evidence, clinical governance frameworks and regulatory requirements.
Working closely with operational leaders, Registered Nurses and multidisciplinary teams, you will act as a key escalation point for complex clinical matters including symptom management, advance care planning and end‑of‑life decision‑making. Through coaching, education and reflective practice, you will build capability across teams to deliver compassionate, consistent and person‑centred palliative care, while strengthening coordination with families, general practitioners and specialist palliative care services.
This role requires a genuine passion for palliative and end‑of‑life care alongside strong clinical expertise in the field, with a commitment to supporting people, families and teams through some of life’s most important moments with compassion and clinical excellence.
With integrity and resilience, you will:
- Lead best‑practice palliative and end‑of‑life care models across Seniors Communities
- Embed evidence‑based, person‑centred approaches that support comfort, dignity and choice
- Ensure high standards of care through clinical governance, regulatory compliance and continuous improvement
- Provide expert clinical advice and decision‑making support for complex palliative care matters
- Support advance care planning and high‑quality end‑of‑life decision‑making
- Coach and mentor Registered Nurses and Care Operations Managers, building palliative care capability
- Deliver hands‑on education and reflective practice across sites
- Collaborate with leaders to align palliative care frameworks with aged care reforms and organisational governance
- Strengthen partnerships with families, GPs and specialist palliative care services
- Represent palliative care priorities in governance forums and workforce capability planning
