Palliative Care NSW would like to welcome our newest team member, Chris James.
Chris came on board with Palliative Care NSW in December 2020 to coordinate and deliver the CAPACITY: Healthy End of Life Project alongside our project partners, La Trobe University and Coordinare.
Previously Chris has worked in various roles in the disability sector, most recently working in partnership with the National Disability Insurance Scheme to deliver Local Area Coordination Services in ACT.
The aim of the CAPACITY: Healthy End of Life Project is to increase community awareness of the supports and services available for those caring for or living with a life limiting illness. It is also the aim of this project to collect information from community as to what their experiences has been in this area; in terms of what has worked well, what can be improved upon and how the community themselves would like to see end of life supports feature in their communities.
As part of this project, Chris will be conducting a series of compassionate conversations to various regions around Southern NSW between February and May of 2021. Chris is interested in hearing the stories from these communities so this important information can be reflected in Palliative Care NSW & La Trobe University’s findings from this project.
If this sounds like something you would like to be a part of, you can reach Chris at chris@palliativecarensw.org.au
