Travel Grants on offer for the Palliative Care Clinical Studies Collaborative (PaCCSC) & Cancer Symptom Trials (CST) Annual Research Forum 2023

The Palliative Care Clinical Studies Collaborative (PaCCSC) is offering five $1,000 travel grants and complimentary registrations for the PaCCSC & CST Annual Research Forum 2023 on 15 and 16 March in Sydney.

PaCCSC is an Australia-wide research network that aims to improve the wellbeing of people with life-limiting illnesses through the generation of high quality research evidence to support effective palliative care clinical interventions.

The Palliative Care Clinical Studies Collaborative (PaCCSC) is offering five $1,000 travel grants and complimentary registrations for the PaCCSC & CST Annual Research Forum 2023 on 15 and 16 March in Sydney.

The PaCCSC & CST Annual Research Forum is their principal annual event. Past forums have supported new study ideas, provided networking opportunities, and forged new collaborations.

This year’s theme is Bridging Silos: cross-disciplinary clinical trials.  

To be eligible for the travel grants you must: 

  • Be a PaCCSC member (or have submitted a membership application by 25 February 2023).
  • Work in rural or regional NSW (outside the Sydney metropolitan area).
  • Work at least 0.4FTE in palliative care as a clinician (or researcher whose research is predominantly in a palliative population).
  • Have an interest in palliative care clinical research.
  • Have approval from your supervisor (to confirm your employment eligibility and to invoice for the travel grant funds).

Grants will be awarded to eligible parties on a first come first served basis with all grants issued by mid-February or until fully prescribed.

Please note:

  • Travel grants will be paid to your employer on receipt of an invoice.
  • Invoice details will be issued upon confirmation of travel grant.
  • Complimentary forum registration will also be given (valued at $200) with a discount code being issued upon confirmation of travel grant.
  • All travel bookings are to be made by the grant recipient and no further funding will be provided by PaCCSC if costs are greater than the grant amount.
