On Saturday the 17th November a free workshop On Death and Dying will be held in Sydney to explore, amongst other things, communication at end of life, how emotions, attitudes, beliefs and past experiences can result in us trying too hard to say or do ‘the right thing’, and ways in which we can be more comfortable and natural, and convey compassion and presence. This is a one-day event for health professionals including palliative care workers, GPs, chaplains, volunteers, undertakers, counsellors and those involved with caring for dying friends or family. The workshop has been developed by Roger Cole with Petrea King, Michael and Ann Barbato.
