National Palliative Care Award Finalists

Palliative Care Australia and their partner Silverchain, are proud to announce finalists for 2023 National Palliative Care Awards.

These awards honour outstanding innovation, teamwork, and emerging talent in the palliative care sector.

PCA received over 90 nominations! Judges selected three finalists in each of the eight categories.

This year’s award line-up also features a new award for lifetime achievement. This special award will be presented to an individual who has made a significant contribution to palliative care in Australia over a period of 20 years or more.

All eight categories include:

  • Outstanding Work by a Team in Delivering Palliative Care 
  • Innovation in Palliative Care 
  • Outstanding Achievement in Volunteering 
  • Outstanding Achievement in Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Palliative Care

  • Lifetime Achievement Award

The winners will be announced at the National Palliative Care Awards Gala Dinner at the Oceanic Palliative Care Conference in Sydney on Thursday, 14 September.

Over 1000 delegates are expected to attend the Oceanic Palliative Care Conference (OPCC), 13 to 15 September in Sydney. Register now before the 18 August price increase. Tickets are also available to attend the National Palliative Care Awards on Thursday, 14 September.
