We specialise in palliative care, rehabilitation, aged and dementia care, mental health services for older people and other related health and aged care services.  HammondCare seeks to embed evidence-based best practices in its services and we provide these services through home care, sub-acute hospitals and residential aged care.

About the role

This is a permanent part-time role, 8 days per fortnight for an experienced and skilled Registered Nurse. Based at Neringah Hospital in Wahroonga you will be a part of a highly dedicated team that provides the best nursing care and advice to patients with palliative care needs.

About you

  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
  • Experience working in the specialty area of palliative care in an inpatient setting or community is desirable
  • Four years post-graduate experience and working towards a post-graduate palliative care qualification.
  • Evidence of integration of theoretical knowledge and clinical skills, critical thinking, and analysis in your daily practice as a registered nurse
  • Able to work within a multidisciplinary team
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Computer literacy with email and an electronic patient record system
  • Effective time management skills and ability to prioritise competing workloads within a complex environment
