On Tuesday Nov 22 we hosted the Engaging the creative imagination in caring for others and ourselves free webinar via zoom.
This initiative was originated by our Volunteer Support Services Programme Manager, Kate Bowman and was available to health practitioners, volunteer managers and volunteers working in Palliative Care.
Presented by Irene Renzenbrink and with more than 70 registrations, participants experienced how the expressive arts could help not only with confronting grief and bereavement but also with self regulation for ourselves.
With personal and professional insight, Irene showed the healing and restorative power of the expressive arts and the impact of communion with others. The discussion was among real life examples from Irene and people in the field on how they were able to transform difficulties into practical solutions that through art could be manifested in real life.
We had total registrants in workshop of 71 with 8 groups among them and 11 Local Health Districts represented (9 LHDs + 2 state-wide networks: HNELHD, FWLHD, CCLHD, SCHN, NBMLHD, SESLHD, SVHN, ILSLHD, SWSLHD, SLHD, NSLHD)
It really was an enjoyable session, with lots of value and very well facilitated by Irene.
