Are you currently receiving palliative care? Or are you a current or past carer of someone receiving palliative are? A research team at University of Technology Sydney (UTS) invites you to take part in a research study on virtual models of palliative care to allow people with palliative care needs to stay in their own home for as long as possible. Virtual models of care includes telehealth, video consultations, remote patient monitoring, after hours telephone advice lines and support etc.
Participation will involve an interview of no longer than 1 hour of your time.
UTS is interested in interviewing people with palliative care needs and their carers to explore their perspectives on:
- Their experience with virtual models of care e.g. telehealth, video conferencing, remote patient monitoring etc.
- The key elements of virtual models of care that are most likely to reduce the need for unnecessary emergency department presentations or hospital admissions;
- The barriers and facilitators to delivering a virtual model of care to people living at home with palliative needs.
If you would like more information about the study, please contact the project team via SPHERERapidResponse@uts.edu.au.
