National Palliative Care Week Update

It's National Palliative Care Week again and there's lots on! Already this week we have seen several services participating with activities, including Blacktown, Calvary Mater Newcastle, Bowral and many more. The NSW Paediatric Palliative Care website was launched this morning by Minister Skinner. The link to that website is here

The highlight of PCNSW for us this week is the Volunteer Conference in Wollongong on Friday 29 May. Please see our Volunteer Hub website for more information. 

Finally the NPCW Trivia Night is on Fridday 29 May from 7pm at the Roseville Club, Sydney. Bookings here or just turn up with your friends.

National Palliative Care Week – Parliamentary speech Greg Donnelly MLC

A big thanks to Greg Donnelly MLC for his speech yesterday in time for National Palliative Care Week:

"With this week being National Palliative Care Week for 2015, it is timely to reflect on the progress being made in concentrating the Parliament’s mind on this most important aspect of health care. I deliberately assert that it fits within the domain of health care because it is so obviously located there. This is not a trite point; for too long palliative care has struggled to find a home."
