Carers Week 15-21 October 2017. Palliative Care Online has been relaunched with funding from the Australian Government.

The new owners of the resource, The Australian Healthcare and Hospitals Association (AHHA), say the online training program has been developed to help aged and community care workers, carers, volunteers, family members and health professionals who provide palliative care to aged persons in the community.

The material is based on the “Guidelines for a Palliative Approach for Aged Care in the Community Setting” and in accordance with the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care’s The National Consensus Statement: Essential Elements for Safe and High-Quality End-of-Life Care.

Palliative Care Online is available at Registration is free and there are no time restrictions for completion of the modules.
