The Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network is hosting their 13th Annual Paediatric Palliative Care Symposium and Workshop on March 2 and 3, 2017.
The keynote speaker will be Richard D. Goldstein MD, FAAP, assistant professor of paediatrics at Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School. He is a paediatric palliative care physician and researcher, with interests in the characterisation of grief in a parent after the loss of a child, and behavioural adaptation to extraordinary circumstances. In 2012, Dr Goldstein also co-founded Robert’s Program which conducts research and promotes advocacy for sudden death in paediatrics.
This year the workshop focuses on palliative care fundamentals for medical professionals who are caring for children with a serious illness.
